RUNNING DOG GOLDSTREAM PARAK
i, tonight at approx. 8:30pm my partner and I came across what appeared to be a full grown husky/German shepherd dog wandering on the shoulder on highway #1 at mile marker 1 (northbound) on the malahat highway (right where the goldstream river crosses under the road). The dog was reported to CRD animal control as a potential lost dog around 9:10, but due to the darkness and anxious behaviour of the dog, we were unable to get a picture or even get close enough to gather more information. Best guess, it looked to be 80-90lbs and probably between 1-3 years old, mostly white face & underbody with a full gray collar, somewhat similar to the dog reported to have been abducted from saltspring at the beginning of the month.
