NOTICE TO ALL DOG OWNERS

Over the past 9 plus years, FLED has always tried to help owners of missing dogs.

But over the years, what we find is many owners do the work of sending in the Lost Dog Form, and photos of their dog, and then never let us know if their dog is found. We and our volunteers do not understand this.

FLED has always been available to search for dogs up and down Vancouver Island and feel this has been where we can help the most. Boots to the Ground.

We have had a lot done to this organization, from others to try to push FLED out. Over the past 6 plus years, this has not been a secret to anyone.

The reason we stay is because we know our worth, the amount of work it takes to help look for lost dogs on the ground as well as keeping the FLED page updated with the most up-to-date information.

We also know the experience needed to help owners find their dogs and be available to physically go out and search.

What we cannot understand is WHY many lost dog owners never contact FLED if or when their dogs are found. They take the time to fill out all the information, but never contact FLED when these dogs are found. However, they notify other groups when found.

So PLEASE, to all dog owners out there who contact FLED, for assistance.

PLEASE call, message, email or text FLED and let us know your dog has been found

We spend many hours looking for lost dogs, only to find out in some cases, the dog was found days ago.

This is honestly up to the dog owner to notify us.

We do not follow the other groups, so just letting them know is not enough

Thank You
