Description - Large White and Orange Alaskan Husky Cross. Blue Eyes. Pink Nose. One Orange Speckled Ear.
Gender: Male
Age: 5
Balu is a very healthy, fit and agile dog who can cover great distance
It is possible somebody may have picked him up as there have been no sightings in the area since the day he went missing.
We have been hiking the trails everyday and are putting up posters in neighborhoods. We return to the point we lost him regularly and have left items that smell like us on the trail. But we are currently trying to narrow down our search and gain any leads on the direction of travel or whereabouts of Balu.
We know Balu crossed the Oyster River into Bear Creek Nature Park chasing a deer. But we do not know what happened after that.
Please keep a look out for medium to large dog prints 2.5 inches and upwards unaccompanied by a human on any local trails. We are hoping if he is roaming around, we may be able to track him. If you do see some you think matches the description, please try and take a photograph against something for size reference that will really help us determine the chances of it being Balu!
We already know of a few very similar looking dogs to Balu who are located in the Dogwood/ Evergreen area and Henry Rd in Stories Beach, Shelter Bay RV. We have received lots of messages and phone calls about these dogs and we can confirm they are not Balu.
We are also looking for any volunteers who would be willing to help in our search if we get any strong leads on a certain area. Or if anyone has any experience in search and rescue, lost dog searches etc. Any advice or help is very appreciated.
