FOUND! FOUND! FOUND! FOUND!
Well this has been the most emotional time in our lives I believe. We had a trip planned that Tommy was supposed to be on. I got a call at 11:15 pm Sunday from our wonderful neighbours that they heard crying in our backyard and went to investigate and found Tommy. They took him in for the night until we could get home. We couldn’t sleep and left Seattle at 2 in the morning and drove 10 hours directly to Powell River arriving at 12:30 PM. We went and picked him up from next-door and almost didn’t recognize him. He has lost so much weight and is somewhat traumatized with no collar. Our sweet little boy seems to be OK. We don’t know how he got into the backyard as he could never get out of it or where he came from it’s just really bizarre. If only he could tell his story. We want to thank the whole community of Powell River and the Malaspina Peninsula and all those kind souls that helped look for him and genuinely cared about him and shared my posts. As well as the kind souls of Vancouver island for looking for him and caring so much. Thanks to all the stores and businesses that put up a poster as well. Thanks to Powell River message board it really got the word out that he was missing. We want to thank FLED Vancouver island for the courtesy post. He is going to the vet today to get checked out because I said he lost so much weight and is somewhat traumatized. Again, Thank You to everyone for helping look for him and your kind thoughts.
What a great way to end the Family Day Weekend.
The vet check up was good. He was fine just a little bit underweight. It took him about three days to get back to normal now he’s flying around the house and yard like nothing ever happened. We’re both thrilled. Thank you everyone again.
