PSA - ANIMAL CONTROL DUTIES / VANCOUVER ISLAND / AUG. 31, 2024

SOMETHING TRULY NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE WAY ANIMAL CONTROL HANDLE DOGS WHO ARE LOST, PICKED UP BY GOOD CITIZENS WHO JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THE DOGS ARE SAFE.

THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE FOR PEOPLE TO PUT THESE DOGS THAT ARE FOUND AFTER HOURS AND ON WEEKENDS.

Not EVERYONE who finds a dog who is wandering and lost can take that animal home.

If the shelters relinglish responsability of these matters after hours and on weekends, where should people go for help??

IF AN ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER CAN'T PICK UP A LOST DOG FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS FOUND THE DOG, BECAUSE THEY DON'T GET PAID TO DO IT, WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A DUTY OFFICER ON CALL FOR AFTERHOURS AND WEEKENDS?

THANK YOU JUDY BOBKE FOR FINDING A SAFE PLACE FOR THE HUSKY (CHLOE) TONIGHT.

SOMETHING SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO CHANGE WITH THE AUTHORITIES WHO ARE SUPPOSE TO BE IN THIS BUSINESS FOR THE WELFARE OF ANIMALS.
