I wish people would keep dogs off the waterways.

No matter what, its not safe in this weather

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of this dog.

RCMSAR had a noon call out in the Bay! We were initially called out “for two people in a boat” stuck in the ice. Once we were on scene, the person who fired flares said it was for a dog on the ice. The dog, a black lab, was not found and is presumed drowned. We talked with the owner.

Thanks to all the people in boats and on shore that provided information. Thanks to the Klitsa crew who diverted the ferry to the scene.

Our thoughts are with the owners and their family.
